Beautifully restored original California car, very original with some tasteful upgrades. Alot has been invested into the engine, suspension, and brakes. The "Tintop" Westfalia Campers benefit greatly in performance and handling by not having the top heavy weight of the pop up. In 1972 Volkswagen fitted this year bus with the new, and more powerful twin carbureted 1700cc Type 4 Engines. These busses are commonly referred to as "Porsche Powered" as they have the same engines that were used in the Porsche 914 and Porsche 912. The Type 4 engine is known for being incredibly smooth, whilst making great torque. The 1972 Tintop bus also featured front disc brakes which greatly improves stopping performance.
