Built continuously from 1948 until 2016, the Land Rover Defender has been the equivalent of the American Humvee to British military forces. They are time-tested vehicles that have proven themselves through service in a wide range of conditions ranging from Middle Eastern deserts to Arctic conditions. They are durable, reliable, and undoubtedly unique.
The Defender is exceptionally rare in the United States. Most of the Defenders seen on the road stateside are of the smaller, "90" wheelbase versions. Left-hand drive "110" models such as this one are far and few between. Our particular Defender is truly a one of a kind due in part to its history and comprehensive restoration. Many drivetrain components including U-Joints, motor mounts and all hoses have been replaced. The vehicle has a brand-new Clutch assembly with an upgraded LT77 5 Speed manual Transmission. Suspension components including Shocks and Springs are new. This Defender also features many custom improvements including:
